Question Cleaning those rims & tires - UGH !!!

My 03 Expedition has the dirtiest front rims and tires I have ever seen. I am cleaning every 1000 miles, and the tires are staying black. Anyone have a "safe" chemical they spray on and spray off to keep the rims and tires clean. This is just an ugly mess !

rogervs,

I use Eagle one A 2 Z wheel cleaner and it works really well on the wheels. I use Westleys bleach white on the tires though. I dont know of a good wheel/tire cleaner combo or if there is such a thing. Just my .02 but good luck

Looks like as far as the brake dust goes you can either get those brake dust covers or switch to pads that emit less dust. As far as tires goes, four words... "No Touch Tire Care".

I wash mine often enough, soap and water does the trick followed by a nice touch with the Micro Fiber towl's.

Replace the metallic brake pads with ceramic or kevlar based ones. I'm not sure if anyone is making them yet, but they will.

Wesley's Bleach White for the tires. Wheels, just good ole soap and water with a little scrubbing.

Another vote for Eagle 1 A 2 Z.

But, like all the rest, you've got to use it regularly.
