My front rotors on my 98 F150 4x4 need to be turned but I cant get them off. Any suggestions? I assume they just pull off.

You may need to remove the caliper bracket and the center hub nut and cotter pin but i am not positive

I juste replaced my rotors the other day (46000 miles) and I too had a problem getting them off. Spray something like lock free (whatever they call it) around the base of the rotors and then tap, pull, turn and jerk until they come off. This method worked for me. When you do get them off then take a wire brush to the area where they sit and put a small amount of grease in the same area.
I actually had a bear of a time getting the damn bolts off to pull the calipers away. Did you experience this? I actually stripped the bolt heads a little.

The caliper bracket will have to come off (on a 98 at least), the two bolts are on the backside of the braket, you can't miss'em.

As for being rusted on, this seems to be one of the many plagues that the f150 suffers from. I too had a hell of a time getting them off (I still haven't managed to ger the rear drums off yet!) But, with a lot of Liquid wrench, WD40, and a host of other chemicals to soak in, if you still can't get'em off, you're gonna have to rely on the good'ol BFH tool. Don't worry, you'll get'em off eventually, because if I can do it, anyone can. Good Luck.

I took mine in to the dealer for front brakes. I don't know why, I guess it was still to new to me at the time. Dealer tried to sell me new rotors @ $89.00 per explaining that bound rotors are common on the newer 4x4's and would have to be torch cut off. I didn't like the sound of that so I left with new pads only. I have since been spraying pennetrant on every chance I get. I will however have a new pair handy when I attempt to get them Off.
