I'm not terribly far from the Bay Area, and might be able to get the time off of work.

What dates, or days of the week is this going to take place?

How extreme is the wheeling going to be, as my truck is not currently complete (I.E. it has open diff's front and rear, and 35's with 3.55 gears)?

Are you all cool people, or am I going to find myself tied up and left for dead?

It looks like it will be a fun trip nevertheless.

 

haha i dont know about tied up and left for dead... mercedes tech told me that my stock open diff 2wd would have places to play so i dont think youll have anything to worry about. were talking about the last weekend in feb. head up early saturday,spend the night, head home sunday i believe. mercedes tech is kinda setting it up so if i got the details wrong im sure hell chime in. you should definately come, itd be nice to get alot of forum members up there.

 

We wouldn't tie you up and leave you for dead.... unless your truck is just really really nice. Even then, I am sure we would leave you some water... so you'd be ok !

Na man, you should be fine. the group I go with is usually a pretty good group of guys, lookin out for one another. I plan on leaving Feb 29 (friday) in the evening. Might take off work a little bit early to get a head start up there and be able to catch some sunlight. I then plan on comin back March 2nd ( sunday) sometime mid-day.

As for places to play, your truck will be FINE ! I am running a 6" lift, open front diff and LS in the rear and I still have my 3.73 gears ! Not to mention I have the little 4.6 L . I used to go up to Pillsbury when I my truck was stock and I would play around. There are mud pits and maybe some snow for you to play around in. Plus there are some trail rides we can go on. Remember, getting stuck is half the fun ! If you come properly equipped, getting stuck, and then un-stuck can still be a blast. We will have plenty of guys willing to yank you right out (plus a winch or two).

Anyone and everyone is more then welcome. Bring friends if they are willing. There will be tons of food, booze and even some of that crazy reefer stuff (fair warning, many guys are 420 friendly) ! We tend to make it more like a giant pot-luck. Everyone brings what they can, then anyone takes what they want (to an extent...). Should be a lot of fun, and having another F150 is ALWAYS sweet. There should be a nice mix of rigs, including a couple Dodge guys we can bash on ! Back to cleaning my truck...

 

My truck is stock height, but i do have 4x4 and 3.73 LS front and rear with a tuned 5.4L. I'll do what i can.

I just got my tow hitch yesterday, and i have a brand new strap that needs to be used, so when you lifted guys get stuck, my tuned torque monster can give you a yank

 

That sounds like an awesome time! I don't smoke mj anymore, but I'll bring my pipe and some nice blends of tobacco for anybody that's into that.

I will have to work that Friday night until 11pm (stupid swing shift), but I should be able to get the other days for sure. If I go, I'd be heading up Saturday morning (or damn late Friday night).

 

There will be plenty of fellas down to smoke some quality blends ! I know I will be one of them.

Youngster ? Na man, we are all "younngins" and you'll be right in the age group.
The group of people will probably range from a few 18-19 up to some 25+. I personally am 21 and most of the people will be right around that age (21). SO you'll actually be a old man rollin with US youngsters !

Tonight I will see if I can figure out a good meeting spot, somewhere where we would all run into one another if we end up going at all different times. Once I figure that one out, I will see if I can get yall some maps or directions up there. Its real easy and incredibly straight forward... not too many turn offs until after camp.

Gettin stoked, just spent 3 hours or more cleaning my truck, just to go get her dirty again!

 

I know the feeling. I spent all day cleaning my truck Sunday, and now I want to go find a mud hole. Luckily I'm broke and out of gas... I can't afford to mud my truck, and there is no way in hell I'm going mudding on my 600rr (leathers and mud do not mix).

 

haha i know what you mean man. i was home last weekend so i washed her only to realize it wasnt going to be long before she gets filthy again. i have class till 11:20 on friday but i should be able to get up to your area about an hour latter unless theres traffic. when do you think youd be able to get off work so i could meet you up there around then?

 

I should be able to be in town by 12:30-1pm with no problem.

Thanks a lot man . Like all of you, im sure, its still just a work in progress. In other words, a money pit.

I am running the Fabtech Basic 6" lift with Pro comp extreme mud terrains in 35x12.5 on 18R and pro comp series 8023 wheels (9.5" wide w/ 4.75" of BS). I like the set-up, nice smooth ride and handles great and can take a lickin when off-roading ( i have a heavy right foot ! )

 

ok so we got myself,mt,msall,and possibly tornadom. anybody else? i know theres alot more guys in the bay area. i think itd be pretty cool to get a whole bunch of guys up there and make it a mini forum meet.

mt-how many of your friends are coming and are u bringing the zuki?
msall-did you get anybody to come with you and are you coming on friday or saturday?
