Question More power

Greetings! I have a '97 extended cab with the 4 speed automatic and the 4.6 engine. Only mod is a K&N filter. How much more HP can I truely expect from the Superchip mod? Or the FIPK? Is it worth the $$$?
Thanks!!!

don't "know" the h.p. increase but it's there. my truck(same as yours) is more responsive(especially the auto. trans. shifts). but , you must use 93 octane fuel---my mpg did go up; maybe 1.5 mpg. dan

You can do some cheap airbox mods for a little more, they are free:

http://www.fordf150.net/

When that comes up, hit the tech section, then the airbox mod.

https://www.f150online.com/tech/airbox.html

After that, get a performance hi flow muffler at least if not a cat back.

From there, depends on what you want to do with the truck. A blower is an easy 80-100hp there, but 3-5K. Other things are larger TB, MAF, pulleys, electric fan, headers, chips, gears.

Maybe give a budget, that may help narrow down a list for you.
