Glad you got your chip and got it in. as for FedEx vs UPS its obviously not much compitition. FedEx guys are proud of their company with good reason but they are the new kid on the shipping block and we (UPS) are the undefeated undisputed champs (like it nor not the numbers dont lie) and as for FedEx not losing things? hahaha sorry I had to laugh try and track an individual package with ANY company other than UPS and you'll see that you cant and yes we have been delivering on Saturdays for a LONG time. we also offer SAME day air service, does FedEx?[/ups driver]

I was speaking from a customer's viewpoint, since I don't work for UPS.

Anywho, I did a bit of a long afternoon break in with the Superchip in.

To put it bluntly, it rocks. Pure and simple.

Even dusted a few Z28s this afternoon that I know. I do know that the Washington State Patrol takes a dim view of 110MPH races on I-5.

Oh well, that's what they make off ramps for. To avoid them.

Big thanks to JMC for posting the link. I printed it out and it was very helpful for visual reference.

It was an actual error on the part of the driver. Unfortunately, he's a totally incompetent jackass.

Given my druthers, I ALWAYS ship by FedEx. The company I work for (think largest microprocessor manufacturer on the planet) spends obscene amounts of money on shipping and the reason we chose FedEx is because they don't lose, oh let's say, whole cargo planes full of product.

Sorry but FedEx demolishes their competition in service and customer support.

At any rate, on to the chip install. It's on schedule for 3 hours from now. Had to rent a garage stall to do it in since my apartment complex won't even let you add washer fluid to your truck let alone modify it.

I'll post an update when it's complete.

To:Caka and PROxac;
As I said in first post (above), I'm a big fan of UPS/ FedEx drivers and couriers ... the hardest working guys in either business. Didn't mean to imply anything less ... have a great week.

Caelistis,
Funny you got the goopy stuff too. Seems that only a select few of us have no coating on our chipboards.
I had that slimy stuff on my chipboard too, made for an easy clean & install tho-

19 hours later and I'm still thoroughly amazed.

It's damn near like having a whole new truck.

I raced a GMC Typhoon this morning and slaughtered the poor girlie all the way down the freeway on the drive to work.

Not being a GMC fan, I've not a clue as to the rat under the Typhoon's hood. I've heard turboed 8 and a twin turboed 6.

Now all I got to do is get that Vortech installed in two weeks....

Hi Caelistis2,

Glad to hear you're enjoying the Superchip, it really does wake these F-150's right up, but then, I would say that.

By the way, you probably won't find many Typhoons, they were only made for a very short time, and they have a 280-300 hp turbocharged 4.3 V-6 from the factory, and run 14-second 1/4 mile times bone-stock. An even quicker variant is the lighter Syclone m,odel with the same powertrain, which typically ran as quick as mid-13 second 1/4 mile times, bone-stock. We make chips for them, too.

So even staying close to one would be a huge achievement with most non-Lightning F-150's, so it sounds like you did *very* well, wow.

Good luck & have fun,

Thanks, Mike.

One of the first things I learned in racing trucks is that I am racing an inherently heavier vehicle. To offset this, I lighten the load as much as possible such as racing with 1/6 of a tank or less as well as pulling the tail gate off so as to reduce drag. Then there's always removing the spare tire and placing Pirelli 6000s on all four corners to help with cornering and traction.

Coursely, racing up a major interstate in rush hour traffic takes a lot more cajones than brains to win.

She gave a good race but refused to use the shoulder as an extra lane, thus losing the race.

Talked with her over coffee at work afterwards and we're on for a rematch in three weeks on a network of old country roads. I'm hoping I'll have the Vortech installed by that time.
