That is correct, the book for the 2000 models I saw at the dealership only listed a 1.42" for the heavy duty cooling.I have copies of the pages(cooling spec's) from both the 2000 and 2001 books.

Thumbs up

Well, it looks like I've joined another elite club I kinda wish I wouldn't have - take no offense; I just could not imagine my truck having the wrong radiator! My 2000, engine production date of 7/19/99 Windsor, has a single row radiator. Now, I am a native Texan, but if that core is over one inch, it must have been a man lying to a woman!
I ordered this truck after seeing all of credits for missing components of various packages on the late 99's. I sat down with the computer order form with this kid who had never seen one of the forms before! I had two regections which I found the way around them. I thought I had ordered the "perfect" truck.

I spec'd everything I thought I wanted and needed to achieve the truck I needed to pull a 26' to a 28' 5th wheel. By specifying the 275.60.17 SL tires. Sure enough it came with the 4R70W (?) transmission, usually found in super dutys. This 5.4 is strong with just a little help from K&N and 3.55L/S axle with these 2.75-17's.

I almost didn't want to look at the radiator, what a joke. I had just helped a friend replace the thermostat on a 93 150, 5.0L, his standard radiator is considerably bigger than this one!.

So, it looks like Ford has enrolled me in this club, I just don't think I'm gonna have much fun!

Also could you tell me who I should get in touch with? Do you think that dealer will replace mine like they did yours? I called dealer I got it at and they all acted like they didn't know what I was talking about( made me furious) Thanks alot

Dave H, I bought my truck at Williams Ford in West hartford.I too got many HUH's? when I started asking questions. I think that your dealer should go to bat for you,if you can't get anywhere, I have the regional customer service and field engineers e-mail addys from the Boston office. I'd be happy to send them along.Or there is always small claims court. If I can be of any help feel free to ask. john.aldieri@snet.net

Hey jstang where could I get some information on the specs, what is the website your link didn't work for me? I bought mine at dillion ford. I paid $350 for this option and the thicker raditor is very important. I will be towing a boat pretty soon and also don't want to overheat in the hot summer. I called service there and they gave me the huhs??? So I want to have some information to back my self up. Thanks, Williams Ford is right down the street from my work on Raymond road been there before, brought my 93 F-150 worktruck there for service, I delt with the service manager Chuck Pastrollea. Sorry for long post thanks again
