Track times??

Just curious to know what times you all are running at the track whether it be 1/4 and/or 1/8 mile? What mods have you done to get you there.....(if you don't mind telling)?

HI!... I've run a best of 14.52E.T so far and that was with stock rear tires and burning them all the way through 1st gear and a bit into 2nd gear. If I would of hooked I would of gone low 14's for sure!

1/4 - 14.52E.T @ 94.55mph

1/8 - 9.2 @ 75.90mph

60FT = 2.0 (spinning a lot)

0-60mph = 5.8 seconds

TOP SPEED 137MPH

Modifications withheld.

Hi just_right,
Is your truck a short bed? If so, we have the same except for Limited Slip.

60'........2.233
330'......6.474
1/8......10.028
MPH.....69.54
1000'...13.086
1/4.......15.714
MPH......85.21

These are stock in optimum weather conditions(OCT).
When I ran the truck in July it was around 16.1.

Too bad you didn't get times one mod at a time to see which was the best gain and if any actually hurt. I was hoping the chip alone would get low 15's. Your times are better across the board(1/8,1/4 & MPH) but, I wonder if that exhaust held you back.

What was the weather like when that time was run?

My truck is a regular cab, fleet-side with short wheelbase. I wish I had got the limited slip now but there were few to choose from when I got it being as how the 2002 were about to come out. I did actually run the truck in the 1/8 with just the FIPK and the exhaust. With just these two mods, the best I ran was: 10.06@69.79mph <<this was in 40 degree weather but the track was hooking pretty good. Then I added the chip and went to 9.83@71.16mph <<right at 70 degrees. As far as the exhaust goes, it felt to me as if it had more noticeable power. We also have a quarter mile marked off around my house and the speedometer seemed to show it picked up about 2-3 mph after the exhaust. I didn’t think the chip made a difference personally but apparently it did. Wish I had run it in the 1/4 before the chip now to see the difference.

….I know more people have been to the track than have posted so post your times....

Not too bad for a diesel. Hope to better that this year. BTW that was my first run ever down the track.

Well, ok. I will post my time. This is kind of embarrassing. I have the 4.6. Please don't think that my time is typical for this motor. Also bear in mind that this is my first and only run, ever, in any vehicle. I plan on attending the F150 Online rally, in Virginia this year. If the weather is better this year I think I can give a more accurate representation. That's it for excuses.

R/T ... 1.245
60' ... 2.491
330... 6.878
1/8 ... 10.558
mph... 67.08
1000.. 13.767
1/4 ... 16.526
mph ... 80.46

I didn't realize at the time how slow I was. I also ran at the same time as a Lightning. I watched him fly down the strip, in front of me. It was great fun. I only wish I new then what I know now.

Talking

wittom, if you show up at the Virginia rally with that magnacharger, I'll have to pull a groin muscle and exempt my truck from the track. I won't be able to best your times but, at least I'll be able to come back here afterwards and post,

woulda, coulda and shoulda!

You may think that is a bad time but i have a friend who has a 2001 Chevrolet with the 4.8L (with the 270hp) and he ran a 10.6 something at 65mph. And to be truthfull of what i have heard and saw for myself, the chevy's seem to be a little quicker....not much though.

........Any one else ever run there truck??........

thanks
justin

Thanks guys.
This year I will have the Magnacharger for the rally. I don't want to be so embarassed. It's an expensive way to do it but it should work. I just hope I don't end up being a slow, supercharged truck. The supercharger will improve power output. I've now got to find a mod that will improve driver output!

The time I ran below was when the Temp & humidity was high. I plan on putting in 4:10's and increase my boost to 8psi. I might also change the injectors.

I'm kinda curious as to some more diesel track times. Diesels are pretty quick as they are, with minor mods, i could only imagine.

Whats going on guys.
I just wanted to post my 1/4 mile times.

R/T.....905 (sh*tty)
60'.....2.589
330....7.299
1/8.....11.224
MPH....62.13
1000...14.683
1/4.....17.705
MPH....73.97

I know the times are kinda high, but it's not bad for a truck with 39" Super Swampers on it.

My favorite part is doing the LINE LOCK!!!!!!!!
