Well the Bosch +4 has 4 prongs on it(not sure what they are called). I assume the double has 2 and the 1st one only has one.

Question Platinum Plugs

Went to the parts store to buy a new set of plugs. They checked in their computer and offered me my choice of Bosch platinum plugs ($1.79 ea), manufacturer replacement double platinum plugs ($3.50 ea), or Bosch +4 platinum plugs (5.99 ea). What it the difference between them?

My truck is completely stock and is used for normal driving. Any reason the cheap plugs wouldn't suffice?

Thumbs up

I put the Bosch +4's in my old truck. You don't have to gap them. (I think that's the right term??) Plus mine were gauranteed for life (they would replace them if they ever failed) I had the 4.6 engine and it was a real bear to change out those plugs. You really don't want to be doing it very often!! The plugs didn't add any power to my truck but it did seem to run a bit smoother. Personally I'd say to get the +4's Also while changing your plugs check out your wires to see if there's any rub/wear spots on them.
