Whats the dif. between K&N FIPK, volicity tube, etc.?
#1
#2
Both the K&N FIPK (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) and the Airaid are the same basic thing, they are both airbox elimination kits, and they add the most power, gaining 12 hp on the 4.6, and 14 hp on the 5.4 engine.
The drop-in replacement K&N air filter element that uses the original factory airbox will gain about 5 hp on the V-8 F-150.
The Velocity tube is kind of half-way in between those 2 "extremes", for lack of a better term, and it still uses the small factory "cold air" inlet on the fender. That coupled with a K&N air filter gains about 7, maybe 8 hp on the V-8 F-150.
If you want the biggest power gain, go for the airbox elimination kit, either the Airaid or the K&N FIPK.
Hope that helps,
