After rereading your post I realized that you were probably feeling your boyfriend behind you while bent over your hood changing your oil.

I've been away from the boards for quite some time. I return to find yet another Amsoil debate. As both a dealer and a user, i swear by their products. I now have over 123,000 miles on my truck. I change my oil every 10k miles, using Amsoil Series 2000 0W30 synthetic and SFD11 filter. My engine still does NOT burn any oil. The $4.00 per quart stuff uses fillers to keep the price down. Amsoil does NOT. That is the main reason that the price is higher and that Amsoil can recommend longer periods between changes. Further, Amsoil backs all this up in writing.www.sundayniagara.com

Thats what I use... Amsoil... They had the most convincing arguement. I've never seen LE on ANY shelf.
I will change it every 7500 on my 2002 Highlander. Used stock oil until 3K, then went Mobil1. Will switch to Amsoil at 10K.

My experience with Amsoil on my Expedition was very good. Ran the oil from 10-12K. The oil still appeared good with 10K on it. Mobile 1 has never appeared good after 5K. Although appearance only says so much. The oil analysis showed the Amsoil had plenty of life left after 12K. Still held up after 12K and 200-300 miles of HEAVY towing.
