I have had a P600B (ATI Procharger head unit) on my Mustang for 50k+ miles, no problems. The P600B isn't as efficient as a Vortech S-trim, but with an intercooler the P600B wins hands down. I don't know what they changed, but the P600B has been replaced by the P1. Any body know what the difference is? Did they finally get helical cut gears to cut down on the whine? I did see that they went to a self contained lubrication system, no more oil lines!

Looks like you have done your homework! You have some great info!

I would like to hear that blower putting out 12PSI! At around 6PSI, your truck will sound like a jet...

Intercooling is the way to go, no matter which blower you use. I will be playing with this.

That 50 to 60% increase is claimed on many kits, regardless of design. It just depends on when you want the power.

My preference is to have loads of torque (490 ft/lbs) available when I launch, and loads of power (240 rwhp) at the top end.

The sraight cut billet impeller isn't as efficient as the s-trim because in does make alittle more heat but the inter. takes care of that. Another fact is that a straight cut impeller will give you more low end power. Also, any thing made out of billet alum. is some of the strongest metal there is. The p1 and the p600b are very alike. They have slightly different peaks. I think the p1 is for alittle more top end. As for the whine of the blower you've got to love that sound.

The numbers you posted are most definitely at the crank. I believe their claims, but Ford has under rated the Lighting. On our Dynos, they always come in at 295-320, so the crank power is more like 390-400 hp.

I wish the Holley kit was a bit more affordable! You can (could) buy a complete Gen II Lightning motor for that money!!

Hey guys you like that 10 rib belt set up the holley comes with. That blower belongs on a 460 not a 5.4 It is a nice kit but it's to much. I can get it for $4750 And that is almost cost. I don't think they have done alot of testing on this kit and holley is just begining to get involved in the newer auto field. So be carefull if your interested in this kit. And if anyone at holley reads this, just put a M112 eaton ontop of your intake and lower the cost $1000......

You mean the B&M blower that Holley uses? Yup, when they bought B&M it kind of made sense to use something under their own roof. The price of the kit is ridiculous, I believe the B&M 144 (Holley) has been in production for years. All they did is redesign the compressor drive snout! Frank, have you figured out what displacement the Holey 144 blower is yet?
