Cam sensors and crank sensor were not replaced. VCTs appear to be brand new. I still suspect that I must have done something wrong as I don't have experience with this engine. Nevertheless, I am still pursuing assistance from remanufacturer who has been responsive.

 

Did you follow the timing procedure video I posted EXACTLY?

 

Sorry for the long delay. Remanufacturer sent me another engine. There was clearly something wrong with the first one they sent. Installed the replacement and it fired right up and runs smooth and quiet. No troubles whatsoever. Remanufacturer is Fraser Engines.
