PCV Question

Is there an actual PCV type valve in either valve cover or do both just have orifices ? Reman engine started sucking a lot of oil at about 20K miles. My mechanic wants to replace the drivers side valve cover. Could a bad valve cover gasket (leak) cause this to happen ? Used 3 qts. in 2K miles. I never had to add oil between oil changes before.

When asking questions on any forum about something specific, you need to know that the folks you are asking, for the most part, are not mind readers. The mind reading can only go so far and the internet seems to be it. Any particular engine, year model truck, mileage on it? It all makes a huge difference considering none of them are the same.

This has been addressed in another thread, starting a new thread just confuses everything.
