98 f150 won't start! Please help

98 f150 won't start! Please help

My 98 f150 was running fine and I stop at pep boys to get something and I go back out and my truck won't start I checked the alternator starter battery fuel pump and all the fuses under the hood and in the cab and everything checks out fine, I am stumped does anybody have any ideas?

Yes it does, it turns over fine it just won't crank up

You would need to determine if you lost spark(ignition) or fuel delivery. Other than that, I'm not good at this vintage engine. Hope somebody else chimes in.

Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key on? Have you tried resetting the inertia switch behind the passenger kick panel?

Have you been having any other issues? You happen to be at Pep Boys when this happened mind if I ask what you were buying for the truck? Did they happen to check a code for you while you were there prior to the no start? Were you or a Pep Boy employee poking around looking for a engine or component part in the engine compartment or under the dash? I get suspicious when a vehicle suddenly breaks down in a auto parts store parking lot....

Get them to let you use a fuel pressure gauge. Always eliminate that first.
