ECM and PCM= the same thing. I would do what was suggeested way back and have the charging system tested before doing anything else. I had a bad battery for months before it finally totally died and it would start but clear the PCM every day. Went on all winter pretty much. That might be the cause of that code. Dying battery..

I agree w/jethat, get charging system checked. How old is your battery (should be a month/year sticker on it). Hopefully you don't have a parasitic draw on your battery, so watch video and learn something useful.

I replaced my batttery and the check engine light went off.

When I push one of the three buttons next to the ignition which controls my outside temperature gauge, the MPG, etc. it runs tests and says "Charging system OK. Is that not an efficient enough test?

I would think based on the CEL going out the battery fixed it.
