While I agree on preventative maintenance being important, I'd say he should start narrowing the field to fix the current problem before throwing $1K+ in maintenance parts that don't solve the problem. A gasser with 200K miles on it could have low compression, or any number of issues that are incurable by changing hoses and COPS.

no one at ford would ever tell you that the 5.4 3v will get 27 mpg, EVEN ON A TRAILER!

The plugs on a 3v should be changed every 60k miles, so you are overdue.

Are you talking about US or Canadian gallons, and miles or kilometers?

Maybe it could be stuck in cold mode and overfueling?

Or maybe its returning better MPG than mine ever has?

Agreed, I just meant at some point soon...he's up there in miles.
