well i am wondering what could be doing this. one of my friends says pump the other says a pump just dies. when i had the fuel filter off it was flowing out of there pretty fast and filling the whole line.

i am wondering if it could be my fuel regulator? what are symptoms of that? at idle its choppy. off idle to 2,000rpm no probs 2,100 rpm it gets ruff. da....dadadadada......da and a few lean pops now and then.

With the engine off, pull the vacuum line off the FPR. If any gas drips out of the FPR or the line, replace the FPR.

Go borrow/rent a fuel pressure gauge. Hook it up to the Schrader valve on the fuel rail and fire it up. At idle you need at LEAST 28 psi, and the pressure should go up about 5 psi when you pull the vacuum line off the FPR.

ok so gas should not come out of the FPR vacuum line got it if it does that would make since why its running lean gas going threw the van line to the intake.

ya ill rent one from vato zone they are 110 dollars to rent now?! what happend to 30?

my Mac tool guy has one i could buy and keep for 120 dollars.

also if im not getting 28PSI at idle would that mean pump or FPR?

That's just a deposit - you get the 110 back.

Another thing to check - leave the gauge on when you shut it down, the pressure should take quite a while to bleed down by itself.
