Gauge Cluster DTC's Question?

I apologize... I think I posted this in the wrong forum the first time...
Here it goes again...

Happy Holidays!!
I have a 2006 F-150 STX Super Cab, 4.6 V8 Engine

While running a Test on my cluster, I saw DTC's E023 and D900. It's the first time I see codes in that cluster. It always says "NONE" until now. My OBDII scanner shows NO codes.
I found this post: https://www.f150online.com/forums/el...agnostics.html
Is the information on this post correct? If so, according bilskie87 (reply #21) then I have U2023 and U1900, but I cannot find a clear definition for these codes on the web. There is something regarding ABS or Anti-Theft System, but for other Ford models, not specifically the F-150, and nothing is clear enough so I can start working on it.

Does anyone have some information to share on DTC E023 and D900 and/or OBDII U2023 and U1900? This is making me go nuts.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Robert

Hi! Thanks for the reply.
I have an Actron Scanner. The CEL/SES is off. The scanner didn't report any set codes or pending codes. They just appear on the cluster test mode, but I couldn't find a clear definition of them. All I could find on the web defined those codes for other cars: EDGE, FOCUS, EXPLORER, but nothing specific.
I'm sorry, the link was not working the first time...

Based on reply #21 on this thread
https://www.f150online.com/forums/el...agnostics.html the cluster gives codes that can be translated into OBDII DTC's

A friend was able to check someone else's FSM, it seems BOTH codes relate to some faulty communications between the ABS module and the rest of the truck. Mmm...

I'm guessing it is something I cannot repair myself, because he said something about the module that is not repairable, and that a new one has to be installed in the event I have a busted one. He also said some about reprogramming/re-calibrating the new ABS module in the event that is has to be changed, and that has to be done only by a dealer.

Suddenly I see a lot of DARK clouds...HAHAHA

Any suggestions on this by anyone???

Thanks.

HEC Instrument Cluster Diagnostics the cluster gives codes that can be translated into OBDII DTC's
The guy who posted that doesn't have an effing clue.

do instrument cluster dtc's even matter??
A little but not too much. The data available to the HEC for display is quite limited.

Seems I'm going to wait for the ABS light to light-up to confirm if it's ABS related or not, or the CEL/SES light to throw a code. As of now I don't have anything else to shoot at.
Thanks to everybody for your time.

ICD is primarily for the dealer, not for the owner. It tells them things that they couldn't know otherwise, kinda like "Big Brother". Of little if any value to us. I wouldn't waste my time worrying about it.
