hey guys so first things first...2004 F150 5.4 150K EDGE PROGRAMER, ROUSH INTAKE,FLOWMASTER EXHAUT..i have a good general understanding of how engines operate so your not talking to a inexperienced mechanic but i am also NOT a know it all......so my 2004 f150 5.4 with 150k has had a jerking issue....read up on it and i heard its most likely a coil goin bad so i continued to drive it until it threw a code so i knew which one to change(not rich cant change all)well i threw a code ok......
p0012[intake camshaft position timming over retarded bank1
p0172 system to rich bank 1
p0174 system to lean bank2
po303 cylinder 3 misfire detected
p0316 misfire detected on startup (first 1000 revolutions)
p0340 camshaft position sensor A circuit intermittent (bank 1 or single sensor)
now it runs real rough at idle....FML
so far changed coil number 3(third one back on left side)
no change
so then i unplugged coil number 1 while the engine is running and still no change in idle......then i plugged it back in and did the same to coils 2,3,4 still no change
unplugged coil 5 and idle got worse.....plugged it back in and did it again to coil 6 and idle got worse again and thats where im at
so next step is camshaft position sensor?
PLEASE let me know what you guys think......i am hoping this already happened 2 someone and i just couldnt find the thread

I assume the plugs have been changed ? Do the low dollar things first.....new fuel filter, clean the MAF. clean the TB. Clear all codes and re-test. Probably looking at weak coils (COPs) or at the very least the boots and dielectric grease. Sometimes a single item can trigger multiple codes.
That might be because, -the third back on the left side would be coil/cylinder # 7. Which is also on bank 2.

Right and left of the vehicle is determined from operator vehicle correlation in motion. That would be under common sense? Well, that's where I'd put it.

I know some of it; - speak very little tho. I guess every now and again I have to purge the absorbed. So you may see a little spewage, here and there. Sorry.
What kind of plugs did you use? From the codes, you could also have timing chain/tensioner issues due to the camshaft position error codes. Bad cam phasers will also cause the camshaft position error codes.
