2005 5.4L Spark Plug Removel

Ok I have removed and replaced 5 of the 8 plugs. I currently have tow that I have loosed, but will not come out. The thread collar is up on the plugs. I can grab the plug and move it, but it will not come out of the hole they are stuck. Suggestions?????

BTW, 4 out of the 5 broke during removel.

Any help is appreciated at this point.

Thanks

If you have the Lisle tool you can take a screwdriver place it in the plug well against the sparkplug and pry against the plug until the ceramic upper snaps off. It will snap off right even with the shield which is what you want. Then remove the pieces using long nose pliers and a shop vac. Then use your Lisle to press the remaining piece of ceramic through the electrode shield enough so you can remove it with the Lisle electrode shield puller. Piece of cake. The Lisle is in my opinion the best plug removal tool out there.

I modified a pair of long handles needle nose 90 degrees. Fit in the hole, with a twist the broken plug came right out. Then the Lisle tool to remove the rest.

7 out of 8 broke. But if you remove the battery, the computer and mounting bracket, air intake you can pretty much get to all of it. About 8-9 hours total.

Truck runs great.
