Question Going to buy E-fans Are they really worth 600$

I'm going to buy E-fans for my truck soon, but before I do I want to know if they are really worth 549.99$. would it really give my 17 more horse power and 3mpg. and will I notice a major difference in power.
I'm looking at the flex a lite e fans http://www.flex-a-lite.com/auto/html...-electric.html Or would you suggest another brand.
Please help me out with this.

Check out this thread. You will see a link I posted where a guy converted his OEM e-fan setup to a mechanical fan/clutch, and lost .5MPG. The only advantage I see you will get if you buy the e-fans is a lighter wallet:

With the number of components with an e-fan system, it will be less reliable than the OEM mechanical fan/clutch.

E fans are reliable. Troyer fans are good. People just have issues with the controller.

Is the 2nd picture what your final setup looks like? What keeps your wiring out of the serpentine belt, or chaffing on the radiator?

That sounds like a good idea. And I saw your lighting supercharger swap. How did you do the swap, what all did you replace and how much was it. See that's part of wy I'm doing the e fan I'm getting ready for one.

First you go to forum's home, then go to the category you want then at the top left corner there is a button that says new thread... there you go

The thread that Takeda showed you was my thread. I will say this, when the controller failed, I was MAD!

But Troyer did replace it no problems what so ever. The controllers work great now, and now that the whole system works as it should I will say that my motor temp doesn't get higher than 195-197 any more. That is what I bought it for, not for the HP, or the MPG's. Just for the better cooling. And it does just that.

As long as the controllers hold up, I foresee my self being happy and content with the setup for a long time.

E fans are a good thing. If I could go back in time, I would have just bought the fans alone from troyer and bought a different brand controller. But the world doesnt work that way.

I am really thinking about doing this like in the next couple weeks. So you seem to be the most knowledgeable on this so, if I want to do it right should I use troyer or Flex a lite and should I use there controller or a different brand if so what brand.

Tell me my best option... I want to do this right.

honestly, there are numerous ways to go about doing efans. there are DCC, Derale, troyer, etc.. tons of choices for controllers.

i chose to use mikes controllers. lots of Lightning and harley guys run his controllers without issue, and he has awesome support if anything should happen.

i chose OEM fans for reliability
