The 2V motor has one minor issue with the blown out spark plugs. Besides that, it's bullet proof. And yes, I did say minor because there's an easy and permanent fix for blown plugs in this motor. I agree…there's no value added to balance out the cost of doing this swap. If you're searching for "more", the best thing to do is add a SC from a lightning. If I had $3K burning a hole in my pocket right now, that's exactly where it'd go.

I dont really have 3 grand burning a hole in my pocket. i would love to put a SC on my pick up but it would blow up cuz the high miles and the motor may be like the lighting but it wasnt exactly designed for a SC. i have a oppertunity to buy a 09 at my work and have the time and place to do and have access to fabrication if needed. All i need to know what are the major problems and examples and hopefully solutions. Id rather get as mush information as possible so i dont put the motor in and find out that there was no chance it would ever work.

It will end up costing more then rebuilding the 2v you have. Heck even if you got it free by the time you do all the stuff to make the 3v work.. Then if you wants reliability the engine you have is that. The 3v not so much. look at the thread and add it up.

If this guy was able to swap in a 3V into a '78 Bronco, and have it work, then anything's possible.

Beat me to it. There are zero gains to be had with a 3V motor to justify the work involved, period; even if the motor was free like jehat said.
