What is it?

What is the sensor directly behind/left of the oil fill tube? Mine is leaking oil out the boot but I can't figure out which sensor it is so I can replace it. Also, is there a trick to removing it?

Thanks!

I think you are refering to the VCT selonoid, its the one with the wire attached right next to your oil fill cap. You can carefully pry the rubber seal off with a small screwdriver and replace it. If you want to remove the selonoid then you need a small torx driver to remove the one torx screw, then pull the unit out and replace it. as you loosen the torx screw keep pulling the selonoid up so you don't drop the screw down into the cyl head.

Thanks!! Yeah that's it! I'll plug in my ODB-II and see if I get any codes, if not I'll just change the seal and not the solenioid.

Thanks again!
