I took photos and can not see them down there. Please LMK asap as I am losing sunlight but am so pumped that I want to button this project up.

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yea, you need a flexible shaft type Magnet. Like this -

I wouldn't leave those in there. My luck, I'd hit a chuck hole just right and fling one of those damn nuts into the valve lol.

Your running all 4 cats right ? Yea , that first converter is right there, -Iduno... IMO, it's a bad idea leaving them there. They aren't going to get past the converter, so they'll stay where they are and bounce around.

Your Welcome, - no problem, glad your makin headway lol.

I have a telescoping magnet but it being straight I didn't make much headway. I'll need to find one of those. I'm so happy the big part is (knock on wood) over.

Done back together! Got her running and she runs decent. I noticed some rough idling around 700rpm, and when I put the AC on, it would drop down to roughly 600rpm and run a little rougher but didn't stall out.

I had the hood up and heard the K&N sucking in air.

I know it needs a muffler, can I simply buy one on ebay and install it?

Thank you!

Congrats! Yea, you can do that or just head up to Oriely's/Murrays and purchase a Magnaflow or another brand. Just don't buy a Flowmaster.

I would also get rid of the K&N, -they can and have compromised the MAF sensor in the past. Eventually they coat the MAF wires with oil screwing up the readings. The very best filters for these trucks are a dry element made by Amsoil and will last over 100,000 miles w/nano fiber media. The part # is in my sig.

And it looks like I have an exhaust leak

I was told to find a simple basic muffler like an AP brand, I don't have a ton of money to dump into this. I don't want a flowmaster. With the pipes, what do I do there? Muffler shop?

On the intake honestly, I'd rather just put it back to stock. Keep it simple you know? I'd likely just put a WTB ad on here, maybe I'll luck out.

Yea, you can clamp on any muffler, but a shop will have to bend you up a tail-pipe. Just get a 2.5 id x 2.5 od. Have them bend up a single 2.5 tail-pipe vs a dual like you had.

Looking on rock auto & ebay, part number 55186 it shows in the photos, completely put together, is this true? Do they come like that? Local exhaust shops are saying $450 installed and won't make one for me to simply walk out the door with. One got pretty insulted that I even asked such a thing.

On rock auto the parts I am looking to need are the exhaust 18914, tail pipe 55186, Connection pipe #52208 and the U Bolts....#35337

Now here's the thing, everywhere I read, I see without air ride suspension, I have that on mine, I am not seeing a with ARS. Does it matter?

Thank you! Looking forward to tackling this project next.

Yea, I didn't know they sold tail pipe sections. The shipping box would be huge lol. Unless they split it up.

Called rock auto, spoke with Matt in customer service. Very nice guy. He said the clamp #35337 will work with my other parts. It says not for ARS because some use the 3 inch pipe. But with all my other part numbers, I should be good

Yea, the TP does hook around the rear shocks pretty close. The ARS rear set-ups are wider. Wider than just a single shock. I haven't seen the Expy set up, but my Grand Marquis has the ARS. So the tailpipe bend may be a little different, not sure, -hope it works out! You want to be sure , because sending anything back like that will cost you. I sure Matt will set you up right if you gave him all the info. One of the nicest things about Rock Auto is that they have warehouses all over the map and shipping is usually pretty cheap.

They also have an Ebay store , think it's called Rockoholic (?) , iduno, something like that.

They said it would work, double checked too

On my other expy that had air shocks now regular, I have some room, so I am not too worried. I'll be sure to post some photos.

Between Rock Auto and ebay, $160 shipped for everything wasn't bad. I wanted to buy everything from RA but with the shipping for example the U clamps, when I added 3 shipping went up almost $10. But RA got most of my business.

Excited to get this wrapped up!
