$8.49 per quart for Mobil 1 Extended isn't steep?

I think it is the passenger side exhaust manifold. Hopefully leaking from the gasket.

you left the extended out. Have you tried Walmart. Bet its cheaper there. Get the gallon container that way is way cheaper. I only use syn blend motorcraft..

Why people waste money on high priced oil when MC synthetic blend is cheaper and just as good is beyond me.

You are wasting your money on EP unless you are running 10 to 15k oil change intervals. The Motorcraft semi-syn is good up to at least 5k, if not 7500.

You do not need to change it after Techron use.

On a synthetic blend, what is the ratio of the blend? 50/50, 80/20,?

Just a follow-up to this. Ticking was from a plug not torqued all the way. I thought the gas smell was from my quickie muffler swap. Gas smell and ticking=loose plug. This forum rocks! Nice and quiet now!!!
