Did you even read the thread at all before asking this question?

Yes, this 'trick' will work on any electronically fuel injected vehicle from your F150 to your BMW and your weekend motorcycle.

I did this yesterday and pretty sure I noticed an improvement. Seems like you have throttle as soon as you touch the pedal instead pushing it a 1/2". Also seems to hold speed a little better on hills without having to give it as much throttle. Not sure if it really helped or I'm just imagining things.

No, because after doing this "little trick" when i just touch the accelerator it takes off at light speed, possibly launching my 5.4 into the next dimension.

This is a known "recalibration" technique.....Its already been clarified as to what this actually does when it comes to the pcm. But apparently you are the know all end all on anything to do with anything. So everyone listen to this guy

I havent seen anyone testifying that this makes their truck run a 12 second quarter mile....All I've seen are people saying it has helped their throttle response.

...people like you discredit this site.

Your delivery would be more effective with your right hand on your hip and your left hand doing a double snap.

You don't believe my Ford truck can possibly work correctly unless I jump down, turn around, & pick a bale of cotton, or whatever little dance you've come up with? How about if I draw a pentagram on the throttle plate and sacrifice a Barbie doll on the exhaust manifold? Will that help anything? What happens if I place an acrylic pyramid under the gas tank each night, and back up over any train tracks I need to cross?

You guys really keep me entertained....

The personal insults and innuendo needs to cease.

Alrighty then, back to the subject.I read about this mod this morning, had a few moments this after noon to give it a shot. WOW! is all I'm going to say, this really woke up my truck, the one thing that bugged me about my truck was the throttle response being way to slow, this little trick saved the day, nice find to who ever brought this to the light.

I gave it a try also. Didn't do any before and after tests, so I can't be sure. Seems to work. Hit's the down shifts a little easier now,I think, maybe.

If not, I'm out exactly $0.00, and about 30 seconds of my life. Which is less than I wasted reading all of the jabbering responses to this post.

Try it. You may be simply setting the parameters of the TPS to make up for any cable stretch.
