#1 you have to create an abortion of a truck

#2 you would need a dodge motor

#3 you need a transmission or adapter device

#4 you would need dodge powersteering pump, a/c, alternator, etc all of which would ahve to be adapted to the Ford system

#5 you would need all new guages and wiring

#6 a new driveline, shifter and related parts

#7 alot of cobbleing and messing around, dumping money into a truck you won't be able to legally register for road use...

You might want to just buy a truck with the 5.4 already in it if you are going to rebuild the engine and tranny for power.

Are you prepared to handle the computer and electrical issues too?

Anyone who has to ask how to do one of these swaps probably shoudnt even go there.
440 sounds cool. why not a built ford big block. Better engine and all.. More after market support just a better engine all around (429-460)

By far, your best bet would be to sell your truck and buy one with the engine you want.
