100000 mile tune up

Going to change plugs. Should I change cops? Fuel injectors? While I there. Summit racing has accell cops. 8 for 198.00. Are they any good? Any thing else? Suggest away.

Accell sucks. If I were doing a 100k tune up I would replace my pvc with a ford one. Replace my 02's with bosch or OEM ford ones. Replace the plugs with motorcraft. I'd clean my Throttle body. I'd replace my coils with Global or uneek coils from E-bay. Might be time to flush out the radiator and stuff like that. Tranny filter and fluid. change the axle grease and dont forget the transfer case..

If you have a 5.4, no need to change the cops - the factory cops hardly ever go bad. However, be aware of the plug breakage issues.

I have the plugs out. Went to eBay and looked around and I found cops from 10.69 to 59.95 that's a big diff. Never bought anything from eBay before. Ford dealer wants 60.00. Summit racing own brand are 40.00 could not find the globel.

Hi.

Tune up info: https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...e-up-time.html

Redirect the money for that unnecessary COP change and go buy 8 new injectors instead. Yer 2005 model is prone to leaking injectors and a possible hydrolock - which means a ruined motor. Best to be proactive here....

fyi - Also - be sure yer following the latest TSB for sparkplug R&R.
