I saw in another (2 year old post) about Global Automotive ignition coils. Is this THE Global everyone is talking about: http://stores.ebay.com/GLOBAL-AUTOMOTIVE

Dagnabit!!!! I cannot get to the bolts holding in the COP on cylinders 7 & 8. I've tried every stinking extension, wobbler and skin I have. Question...for the 7mm socket are you using a 5/8 to 1/4 adapter with wobbler or are you using a 1/4 wobbler with extentions?

You mean 3/8 to 1/4 ? All 1/4 here. Use a 7mm wrench if you have to. I think I use a socket for all , -and a little battery impact. You better tape your sockets and extensions lol.

Or you may end up fishing for sockets under the intake. Here's the pole I use -

That just cracked me up. Funny stuff. Yea I've already dropped a couple of tools and had to fish them out but haven't lost a socket yet. I learned the tape thing the hard way a few years ago.

I did my intake gaskets once and found my old Snap On 1/4" drive ratchet under there. I wondered where that went for along time! Also, miscellaneous sockets surrounding the knock sensor, - like they where planning some kind of attack. 1/2 of a bologna sandwich, - past the stink stage and petrified.

No sandwiches found yet but a couple of varmints crawled out.

Got another question...I got cylinders 4 thru 8 done and now working on 1 thru 4. Any tricks getting to # 4?

Well, I like lots of room. So I pull the that big plugs out of the way and tir them back bungees. I might have a pic of the tie back somewhere ? I'll look real quick.

Disregard #4 being in #1's spot. I switched coils because my new Motorcraft coils went bad shortly after purchase. I replaced all with Global coils. I never had a Global coil go bad yet.

You can see how I tie those plugs back. Your model is a little different, - you may have more room , but I doubt it, here's a pic -

Got to it so we're good and thanks for the advice. Hey...you know I mentioned a hissing sound earlier in this post? Well I found the source just off of the PCV valve. There's a small hose running to the TB from the pcv and the back side had a whole in it. Pulled that end off and the rubber hose on the other end had a hole. No wonder I'm running lean.

Keep fingers cross as I'm down to the last cylinder (4).

Just make sure the boot seats down correctly on #4. I missed the plug once on that one and the boot folded inside. I probably couldn't do that again if I tried, but it can happen with any of them.
