2003 5.4 Rev Limiter?
im sure im wrong but i wanna say its right around 5,300
you can get a tuner and people have spun stock motors to 6,000 but its not recommend every day.
i got a tuner and mine 1/2 shifts at 5,500RPM no probs yet....

Don't try to bypass it without getting a built torque converter - the stock converter can balloon on you if you overrev it. The engine can handle a lot more revs than the TC. I think it's 5400 for the TC but the engine is good to about 6500.
All good info guys, Thanks but does the truck actually have a limiter in stock trim?
Unless you have it in first gear:-)

I have the same 100MPH speedometer that you do.One of these days I'll get around to swapping in the Lightning speedo I have for it.
Phil
I now have a 160 mph speedo.
when you pasted that up in your thread, it made me want to get a metric lightning speedo and set it up the same way
my mach i has a 120 mph speedo. It would do it but I've never gotten close. I converted the tranny to a TKO600 this year replaced the rear end converted to rear disc got a new trac loc and regeared to 3.73 this year. I took it out and opened it up to 100 for a few seconds. I'm sure the car would do 140 now.
