I was talking to another mechanic, who said that the injectors were due to be changed at 120k , I have 133k, does that make sense?

Check your CATS for abnormal heat crackling and glowing at night.

Also, check out your wiring harness in relation to your AC accumulator. The wiring harness can sink resting on top of your accumulator connector. Over time this may bare a wire or two, but it doesn't necessarily have to do this to cause a problem. Your accumulators mag field can disrupt/cause havoc to your vehicles ignition.

So check the wires in that area, -and tie your harness back and away from the AC accumulator.
I took the plug off the accumulator just in case, because I don't have a comprssor on the truck.

There is no change interval for fuel injectors.

I see Autolite plugs in that pic - you should not be using them, they do not meet Ford heat range specs and they do not last. What brand wires is on it?

Yes I replaced them with motorcraft plugs and it improved.

When I did I noticed that some of the boots were off the plugs, loose/.

When I changed them, I ran her for about 3 miles and let her sit to do the #8 and when I did I noticed the boot was off another cylinder!~
I just did #8 and came back and the boot was off #4.

What wires do you reccomend for this truck, motorcraft also????

thanks for replying

They look pretty generic to me. If the boots keep popping off, they are junk. Are you using dielectric grease?

Motorcraft wires recommended - I think they are about 70 bucks or so at rockauto.com.

No, you should be using the grease. Don't overdo it - just smear a little bit inside the boot. Make sure the connector engages the plug terminal fully, I'd think you would hear a click when it bottoms out.
