Sensor bolt or plug???

1998 F250 5.4L

I am in the middle of putting back together my motor, I had a blown head gasket. At the back inside of the Right (Passenger) Head there is a threaded hole that I don't remember taking anything out of. This hole is just like the one on the LH head where the Head Temp Sensor goes. Is this just supposed to be blocked off with a plug that maybe the machine shop took out and didn't put back in or did I loose a sensor or bolt?
I could use a picture of the top of the Motor with the Intake taken off if anybody has one.

Ah, wish I could help. I just finished my swap a few weeks ago but it was on a 00 PI 5,4L so the heads are different?
If your standing in front of the motor/truck, wouldnt the left side be passenger, right side be drivers? Im a bit backwards here.

Here is the closest thing I can find to a pic your looking for. But again, this is on a PI 5.4L
Both heads are casted the same for both sides. So the drivers right side would have the sensor and the passenger left side would have a plug...or just a threaded hole going nowhere? I dont remember if it actually had a plug or was just a hole, I would guess a plug. Pics arent clear enough or zoomed in enough to see and those are the best I have.

That picture looks great just what I am looking for. I still think I need a plug because I took my sensor threaded it into the hole on the rear passenger side and it goes all the way down in. Or does it not need a plug because water never does touch this sensor. I originally thought it was a water temp sensor until I read on hear it was a Head Temp Sensor.

Someone else will have to clarify if it has a plug or is just left alone. I never had to pull the heads and don't exactly recall whether it was 1 or the other. A plug wouldn't hurt it... but then again if it doesn't need one then why go through the trouble of finding the right plug. Or ask the machinist who did the work on the heads, he might be familiar with it.

Nothing goes in the passengerside cyl head hole for the CHT ( Cyl Head Temp) Since modular cyl heads are interchangable from rightside to leftside they machine them all the same. If your (left) cyl head would have gone down the (right) assembly line at the plant it would have simply had the cam installed facing the opposite direction of a leftside head and therefore would have been a rightside head. If you take a good look at both heads you will see that they are the same just reversed. Take care.

Thanks for the help, thats kind of what I was thinking after I noticed it wasn't a water temp sensor.
