i understand that a combination of parts will be needed to notice an improvement. i guess what i'm really asking is what i should be looking at with a budget of around $800-900 that will get me the most gains.
you can buy used supercharger for that price, but then the extra $5 a tank will break your bank

might want to look into regearing your truck

Well thanks for all the input. For the time being I've decided to do the responsible thing and pay off some credit card debt with the money I have. It won't really put a dent in what I owe but it'll go a long way toward getting nmyself back on track financially. Not exactly the most exciting way to spend 1000 bucks but it needs to be done lol.

Maybe not exciting but definitly the smartest choice. Down the road you won't regret your decision. Good luck

So these intake manifolds have a blend valve? Reason I am asking, is I did the Seafoam treatment, where you pour it in the brake booster vacuum line, and let it burn it out.

Well, I am STILL seeing that cloud of smoke 1500 miles later. Could there still be some seafoam in the intake? And everytime I start it, I only get a little bit?

Actually I think you are suppose to let the vacum pull the seafoam into the intake not pour it in. I would think thats possible though. You could remove the throttle body and adapter and take a look inside the lower intake/plenum.

Seafoam shouldn't be used that way, - you can do far more damge than good. It may even cost you motor like it has others in the past. At least it's still runnin, but your Converters are coated with that crap, - their burning up lol.

The first thing I would put on your list is to have your injectors cleaned professionally. I had it done after I bought my truck (172k mi) and noticed a large improvement in power. Also, it only cost about $90. Gotts mod is another cheap one I'd do, along with a K&N filter.

No problem lol. Their called "SlowBastids" as well, - mainly because they rob torque down low due to their chambered design - chambers kill flow. Mike Troyer explained all this on the site in detail. - Dyno supported and that don't lie.

What Flowmaster has in their favor is sound, they due sound good. I ran a 50 race series (not the SUV series) for awhile and liked the sound. I ran the 50 with stock manifolds, no rear cats, - just the forwards and the truck (5.4L) sounded just like the old Mustang GT's @ take off.

But, I pull a trailer and use to move/place heavy trailers at events. Needed all I could get down low. The Magnaflow made my job allot easier.
