codes that wont go away!

1998 F150 supercrew 4.6 4x4
keep getting the same 3 codes
Exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient
system too lean bank 1
system too lean bank 2

I have changed the EGR Valve EGR tube and the 2 high temp silicone hoses going to the dpfe sensor and a brand new dpfe sensor nothing has changed also cleaned the MAF meter, and did a BG fuel injection service as well as the BG egr service and still nothing anyone else have a thought on this?

What are the exact codes? my guess-check the pvc elbow below the back of the throttle body. Probably has a hole in it.. if you have po401 you probably have a clog in the 2 tubes going into the egr tube.

Cleaning the throttle body might fix the flow code.

The 4.6 is known for the EGR passages in the throttle body clogging up, and a BG service doesn't fix that. The TB has to be removed and the passages manually cleaned out with solvent and pipe cleaners.

I had the lean bank 2 on my 98 f150 4.6 and it ended up being that I had a dead cylinder. Is the truck really boggy on the bottom end? Run a compression test if it is. Changing those engines is a pain but it can be done with out taking the intake manifold off, like the book tells you to do.

Good luck
