that's not bad, but you'd want a custom tune, larger TB, larger MAF and larger injectors at the very least...

that's not a bad price for the 44cc heads and n/a spec cams but look at what else you need to buy with it...

When you say custom tune do you mean a dyno tune or will a tune customized with my mods work? Also will the fuel pump need upgrading? Also what size injectors? Thanks I'm kinda new to this tuning and crap

Just broken in.

It looks like a good kit.
As mentioned you will need fuel upgrades and tuning. Here's the injectors and maf at a fair price. Look on Summit for a Walbro 225 lph pump and 75 mm throttle body. You will also need a cold air intake to mount the larger maf. http://www.buyfordracing.com/shop/pr..._id=635cPath=9

You can use a mail order / email tune, but a dyno tune is best. Some info here:https://www.f150online.com/forums/ch...mail-tune.html

Would that Walbro pump be internal or external? Also I have a AEM cold air intake already...I wonder if the end justify the means here...

finally they started put these things in kits.
one question, isn't the deck on the 5.4 head just a bit thicker then the 4.6 head's? thats why 5.4s and 4.6's intake manifold are different.
Right?
i wonder because trickflow says they are universal.

The engines do use the same heads. The 5.4 is a 90 degree, while the 4.6 is a 60 degree, hence the use of two different width intake manifolds. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

if you go that route, get a trick flow intake (75mm TB) for a 4.6 and the adapter plates...

on a stock 4.6L i think they had LTs and custom tune, and they used the TF intake max HP 351, not bad for less than $4000.

Nice vids. But we all know that crank HP and no accessories is not where we measure from.

Cool

HI!... The 5.4 and 4.6 use the same heads. They are BOTH 90 degree v-8's. The 5.4 has a longer rod hence the taller deck height. The 5.4 is NOT a stroked 4.6. The 5.4 block is physically taller than the 4.6.
