My 2005 5.4 enine temp is running between 220-230 degrees and i am wondering if anyone knows what may cause it to start running hotter then normal? I have a edge evolution and its just been the past couple weeks my alarm will sound when i hit 230 degrees. Maybe im just being paranoid but Can anyone shed some light on what temp. i should be running and how to fix it?

Should be about 198-202 range. I'd start with the thermostat might be stuck..

 

I'd start with a coolant level check - it's easier

Is the cooling fan engaging?
Any hoses collapsing?
Last time you serviced/flushed/replaced the coolant?
