Look at this from the pure 'engineering' prospect.... The truck has no idea what engine is in it and the engine has no idea what fenders are wrapped around it....
To be able to 'Frankenstein' any dissimilar drive train into a chassis is something to be kinda proud of.... From an Engineers point of view at any rate.....
Of course, it's been well over a month since we last heard from the guy, so he's either just blown us off, or it was never a true project to begin with, or it just ain't working!!
I too would rather see a Ford in a Ford, a Chevy in a Chevy and a Mopar in a Mopar... All my 'fantasy' muscle cars of the day cover all three makes and the only drive trains in each would be the ones by the same manufactures..... I like 'em all!!
Now, dropping a 350 in an old 240Z is pretty cool in my mind.... Or drop a 351 in it... Same deal!
I've seen some 1970 Challengers/Cuda's/Chargers come across the blocks on Barret/Jacksons auctions with Viper V10's in them and they sell for a decent price! But, it's still a Dodge in a Dodge, so there you go!
Someone should pop a Ford V10 into a new Mustang! Now, that would be a cool project!

Oh I agree, its a cool project, I Just hate it when people act like they have the baddest thing around. I deal with people like that all the time around my town, and needless to say, i put them to shame. Not saying this truck wouldnt out run me, but i will race anyone, especially people who claim they can "drag lightnings down the track"
I'd like to see that. There's nothing like seeing a trader get ate. In other words

a local guy put a V10 in his Marauder... it fit, it ran, it worked, but the thing doesnt crank R's.... its not a revving motor so it was pointless... I told a guy on THIS forum about it, cause he wanted a V10 in his F150 and they did business off one another...
