Bias? this site is for FORD TRUCK enthusiast. (says it right at the top of the screen) it's not chevy enthusiast, chrysler enthusiast, toyota enthusiast, or anyother truck. So excuse me! "no open minds"?...were not talking about gay rights...were talking about trucks!
sum of you need to go find a "trucks" forum...no speific brand...just "trucks". On 2nd thought im pretty "open minded," i like dodge trucks alright...still give their owners hell tho...it's just what your supposed to do!

And I agree!I agree..it's his truck. It's sad but not realy worth arguing about. But I do know how I have to hear my dad grumble about how much GM is a disgrace to America now that they took the bailout . He was an AFC certified mechanic for Grainger Chevrolet for years before he went to work for Gulfstream and that's all he's driven since retiring Manager of Q.C. Engineering. He sold moms Tahoe and His Silverado and replaced with a Superduty and Explorer and said he will never own another GM product as long as he is still kikin'. The more I talk to him the better since he makes about it.
GM just bought a brand new G550 Executive jet($64 million), and had the nerve to fly it to Washington to beg for the bailout. Now we are paying out of our tax dollars to keep GM's head above water while their assembly line mechanics are making $75 an hour. They are a disgrace to every hard working American and I too have disowned them.

do you like stickers on your truck?
if so there is one i saw on pinks dude put a 454 in a 85 mustang and had a sticker on the back window that said "Build FORD tough with CHEVY stuff"
shoulda went big or went home 454 or 572.
or the stroker kit for a 460 to make it a 540 keep it ford
but this LS6 should be SICK! cant wait.

im loving the idea...im ready to pack up my tools and meet you ...haha ive drove fords my whole life and raced chevys...have a bowtie on my left arm...hah...i thought they were going to kick me out when the guy in the other forum wanting to switc from a 4.2 to a 4.6 or 5.4...and i offered the small block chevy idea......but i would sugest a good built 700r4 tranny.. for trans ...ready to see this transformation

Come on - it's not like this guy is buying a whole GM *TRUCK*.......in fact, there's a thread going in GD by one of our regular members who just bought a used Silverado for a daily driver, and he's not getting anywhere NEAR as much grief as you are giving this person!

You mean to tell me that if you see a well thought out custom silverado or ram you trash it? That is immature and makes no sense... you aren't driving it. I've never understood that. I'm a ford guy, but you can't discredit other makes because its not a ford. Ford's aren't perfect and we all know that. Why rip this guy apart? How would you explain why one truck is better than the other... by saying "oh that stinks cause its a chebby or ram!" ? You can say it is not being close minded all you want but it is. It's like only seeing one side of an argument and just hating cause it's not a ford. A true auto enthusiast has appreciation for all makes and models... and this guy is just putting an engine in because it will make more power with less money invested into power mods.

Putting a Chevy in a Ford, never heard of that before. I'm just bustin *****, should be interesting but why not a Cobra engine or similar making installing a bit easier and the aftermarket is pretty good and cheap for that I'm thinking.

I don't support the idea of crossing manufacturers but to each his own. As for giving him grief. That is up to the individual. You have to admit that it takes quite a set of kahounas to post about a Chevy engine in a Ford forum...........
