Pats?

i put a lightning motor in my truck...i got a pcm that came out of a lightning..its all plugged in...when i turn the key on the theft light blinks does that mean i have to take it to the dealer....i cant start the truck cause im still working on it

Can you get the key and ignition switch from the donor truck? If not take it to the dealer.

You will need the GEM module too!

You will need the ECM reflashed. Hopefully all of the parts you installed match up otherwise so you have a functional truck with the gauges.

Hopefully the pcm from the lightning will control the trans...that would be the greatest concern.

yes you can turn PATS off with custom tunes, but it kinda defeats the purpose of having it as an anti theft feature if you just go and delete it

I would have the PATS turned off. PATS will only deter joy riders. As most cars today have some form of PATS most joy riders stay away from them. Anyone with an auto start feature is as much at risk as a non PATS vehicle. I had my PATS turned off for a while till I was able to fix my PCM. can i just take the ecm to the dealer and have them flash it...or do i really need the whole truck towed there

The PCM needs to be installed in the truck it will be used in. The Dealer then programs the PCM and the Instrument cluster to work together.

will the truck start or does it all have to do with the guages so i can drive it over there.
