engine

2000 F150 5.4 starts right up when cold. Runs good, no codes.
after I shut it off will not start again till it cools off.
46000 on it now. Help!!

has the fuel filter ever been changed?

It cranks ok. Just does not start.

you need to change it. it may be causing the fuel pump to overheat and need to cool down.

yea, its recommended to change it about every 20,000 miles. but with only 46000 on your truck i'm assuming it sits alot? if thats the case then you'll need to change it more often.

Ford Plugs

I just finished R&R my plugs on my 2004 5.4l with 87000km's . Followed latest TSB's and evey plug broke in various stages. Was smart in that I had bought needed tools and loctite ahead of time. Did have to fabricate couple of tools that I did not have on hand . Was not fun but my time was free and did not have to use dealer network.

I changed the filter this morning and it seems to work just fine now.
I got it hot and let it sit for few minutes and works every time.
