At least us 4.6 guys can still rag on the V6 kids.

PLUS: I think it's a joke that your non-PI 5.4 almost has the same power as his 4.6.

dont take the 5.4 being better than the 4.6 too seriously. both are great engines, ones just a much better pulling engine. ones built for pulling and the other is meant for fuel economy and people who dont need much power for the use that they need the truck for.

4.6punisher- how about you hook your truck up to that non pi 5.4 and see how it turns out for you

Na,,no joke. Lot of guys just like to joke around and pic on you guys. It's all in fun.
4.6 and the 5.4 are both great motors. And you do all the same things to get more power out of them.

Ha, if that were the case, then why do they still only give the 4.6's the 8.8" rear end? Must have something to do with the torque that the 5.4 is able to muster at a lower rpm range.... Even for the first year 5.4's....

And yeah, it's all in good clean fun poking at ya with your 4.6's wanting more power.... My Dad has one in his Thunderbird and it moves it pretty good!

I have a 4.6 in my 2000 Grand marque and it has plenty of power . And Iv never spent a penny on modding it to try to get more. All stock.
