forget the supercharger, it's time for a turbo, just get a good set up and enjoy it since you're towing alot a turbo is going to be your best route...

you're other option is to swap back to the 4.6 torque converter and hope the tranny survives but if you're still n/a than it should

as far as lack of power not here, I've got the 2 supercharged pickupsand the expy is about to get it as well but it runs pretty good on the autobahn here

What gears are in the truck? How tall are your tires? I'd bet the original tires were a lot shorter. What's the rpm at 60mph in OD?

I know switching from 245/75/16 to 265/75/16 killed my OD. It was ok on flat ground, but the slightest hill would make it downshift. On the plus side, it cut about 300 rpm at 65 mph in third gear, which worked out fine for pulling my car trailer.

something is wrong

I've got a 99 Expy with 137,000 on the clock, 3:73, and the 5.4 with a 3 in body lift and 33x12.50x16.5's and a flowmaster, and I've never had issues towing. I've hauled a 66 galixie500 and a motor cycle to PA from VA... then crossed over to Jersey and hauled a 80 Ford Bronco 4x4 from there to VA no issues.....as a matter of fact..the only thing slowing me was the wiggle in the trailer at around 65-70.. I cruise on the strights, and as soon as I see the hill aproach I shift OD off, and keep my speed. You have exhaust issues choking you up? I also pull @ 19-21 MPG in town at 45mph. I pull over 400 per tank alot of the time. I think something is wrong somewhere.

believe you me, I'd rather have a turbo than a blower, but I dont think there is any room for it

exhaust is pretty straight forward. Stock manifolds, all 4 stock cats and it dumps under rear passenger seats... Cats got alot of miles on em... think they are close to being clogged?

Who is it that makes the turbo kit for these motors that places the turbo under the truck again? Maybe that would work for you......

To many miles on this one for that stuff I guess ..

Back to Castrol -

+ 1 on the Super Charger. A roots Eaton would do it wonders

you're thinking of STS

I believe the spyder kit is way better priced and is a front mount so no water sucking unless the truck gets sunk

I did alot of research after teh STS group buy went south and spyder has a greed to do a group buy if we can get 10 or trucks
