Best Price for Coils? Any package/kits?

Does anyone know the BEST bang for your buck on COP set?? The ones on eBay are $230 for the Accel ones. Are these any good??? Is there a place that sells a kit (with plugs/grease)???

Thanks (in advance)

What year is your truck, and which engine? You need to fill in your profile information.

So the "508" will fit an 1998 Expedition with the 5.4?

The 508's fit ALL 2v 4.6, 5.4, and 6.8. The 3v takes 511's.

We have the same year and engine. Do a search on this forum and there is alot of info on how to change the plugs and COP's. There are some specific's you should follow with the 98 5.4L V8. Not to bad of a job, done it twice now. You might want to look into Ebay, and check out Uneeksupply. I haven't heard of anything negative about their coils on this site.
Here is a current auction for them......

Good luck with plug change.

x2 on uneeksuppy

get a piece of hose to slide around the outside of the spark plug so you can thread the plug in without cross threading them. other than that torque them to 28 ftlbs and you'll be good.

x2 on the hose use, to prevent cross threading. Don't use a piece that is too long, make sure the hose is straight and rigid. Best advice, make sure you feel that plug thread in with "no" restriction, nice and easy.
Make sure you use Dielectric compound (grease) in the boots on the Coils. Thin to medium film on the entire boot inside and don't let a gob of grease plug up the end of the boot and spring end.
28 ft lbs is good advice, somone told me 30, so I went with that.
No problems at all since I did my own replacment.

Use ONLY Motorcraft SP series nickel plated plugs, and NO antiseize.

Why no anti-seize?
Dam, I just paid $69.95 for ONE Standard Ignition COP
I believe S. I. to be good products, but $560.00 vs. $80 from Uneeksupply!
How good is the quality of the cheaper ones?
Thanks, Marc

we say no antiseize because it changes how tight you torqued the plug and it helps the plugs back out which causes the blow out problems. i think they are almost the exact same thing as the factory coils, or they are the same(cant remember), that or they are very good at making it almost the exact same.
