IAC question

it sounds an awful lot like a vacuum leak to me. i'd take it to a shop or possibly the dealership again and have them hook up the smoke machine. if there is a vacuum leak then it will find it. or you could hook up a vacuum gauge and it should be between 17 and 22" hg. you could also make sure your egr isnt open at idle. disconnect the vacuum line on top of it and see if the idle changes. if not then make sure that its working by doing the suck test. just use a vacuum pump or a piece of hose kooked to the egr and suck on the egr.

ok I will check that out, thanks for your help. just one other quick question, i want to clean the throttle body again and i wanted to know if its safe to actually spray the throttle cleaner down in the throttle body without removing it. friends have told me this is ok, i just wanted you guys opinion first. Thanks again.

i cant see it hurting anything. just make sure the key isnt turned on when you do it.
