Fuel Filter

Has anyone had a problem finding the correct fuel filter? Its a 06 FX4 with 5.4 3V ive even gone to ford gave them my vin they are telling me they only make one filter for this truck.Any help would be great.

That seems strange. Do you know if it has the blue clip on the inlet side?

Not gonna go there. Nope just can't do it.

Check rockauto.com.. Looks like the MC filter for your truck is roughly $13-$15.

Just replaced the filter on my truck after work. 28k and it was NASTY. It had resistance when blowing through it even. OReilys sells the 5/8" clip releaser thingy for $3 too. It's angled and really easy to use. The blue clip was simple also. Easy job. Just take a micrometer and measure the diameter of the inlet tube on the filter itself and match that up to the new ones. Mine is an 06 Flex Fuel and calls for the larger filter. THe guy asked the built date. After 12/05 are suppose to have the 5/8" instead of the 3/16". I'm going to be replacing every 15k from now on.
