2001 f150 5.4 ran fine, parked overnight, wont start, theft light flashes fast while cranking, odometer is all dashes, fuse 18 ok , replaced fuel pump relay, tried starting fluid.

 

Will it start if you give it gas.

 

no, it barely fires with starting fluid

 

If the theft light is flashing and the odometer is all dashes, and he's tried starting fluid, giving it gas won't do anything. This is an electrical issue.

Have you tried your 2nd key?

Tried both keys no luck , tried disconnecting the battery
found out the PCM relay and fuel pump relay are the same, replaced fuel pump relay first, no joy then the pcm relay and it works fine

 

found out the PCM relay and fuel pump relay are the same, replaced fuel pump relay first, no joy then I replaced the pcm relay and it works fine, you MUST try this before letting the dealer replace the PCM ($700 +)
