Project: Lightning Swap

The Ultimate Sleeper

Came across this last month. Came out of a 2001 Lightning with 42k miles. Picked it up for only 2800 so i thought it was a good deal. I know its a little dirty but i looked inside all i could and it seemed in good shape. I think we are going to start the install in late april. Circle D is going to be doing my transmission. Beside that me and my dad are gonna be hard at work. Any questions ill try to answer. Im sure ill have plenty to ask yall

Easiest time for me to do fans is while the engine is out of the truck, the radiator might have to get pulled anyways for clearance issues with the engine coming in and out.

Let me know exact date so i can start planning around it

supercharger color

My buddy's 01 Harley had a gray painted intake on it, not black. I remember because I sanded down the upper and polished it. We left the lower as is until he pulls it for a full port job to go on the new motor he's building (Navigator 5.4).

Why would you buy a 90mm maf AND a mafia?
Just get a BA2400 26 or 2800 maf and call it a day.

Built? Good choice!
Now you can shoot the boost to it without worrying about something stupid happening.(Like breaking a rod)

Good luck and keep us updated.

Yeah its better to build it now rather than later when it breaks and destroys everything...
