Mine had the 4.6 so it is fantastic. It pulls hard. I will post some new pics, but it will probably be this weekend.

I have the 97 4 speed 4R70W, for now. I will look to buy the 5 speed auto from F250-up 2005 and newer and transfer case later. I got it running good so I need to drive it and save up the funds. Also need to get to the Honey-do's I have neglected.

basicly this swpa has shown me that the newer dash's should operate normally with the PAT's reprogrammed with the ECU, a stand alone controller box on the 4r70 or modified 4r75 trans and the patients to amke it work, I bet it would help my expy get better mileage

Patience was key!! It does sound good. I have had several compliments about that. Different but Good! It still has the 4.6 converter. I have 3.55 gears with 35" tires and tachs out at 1500 @ 60MPH in OD. I think I might need gears

Not sure yet. I have mostly done in town runs, tweaking the trans shift points. On it more than normal also. It seems to be doing about the same as before, but will know more after I get a good tune in it and start just driving.

Everything is running and shifting great. I posted pics in my profile.
Still have some more work to do, but have driven it a thousand miles on short trips. My 3:55's are going away for 4:56's.

My '05 V10 drive by wire Swap list
http://www.flickr.com/photos/1010765...7614226262649/
V10, computer, Engine wiring harness
Baumann trans controller
3.8 Lincoln/Taurus 2 speed fan with aftermarket controller
3" body lift to clear the intake, 2" might work
light massage on firewall and the wiring tab on back of intake cut off
I used my old motor mounts, had to play around with them turning them over and such. I think they are on the same side but the drivers may be upside down, I forget we tried them so many ways and opposite sides until we were happy with the way they fit.
SCT tuner from Mike at Five Star Tuning.
I have a Volant intake on it, not sure it is the best fit or system. May make my own.
Really need to dyno it to watch all the sensors to record for proper tuning, especially if you make your own intake.
I think I am going to mount the F250 overflow on the firewall and get rid of mine, it will help with the intake area.
Make mounts for Power Steering.
Grind off tab on drivers side exhaust manifold, steering shaft interferes.
Exhaust will have to be changed, as they dump out in a different angle.
I used Alldata for all my wiring diagrams.
I have not hooked up the cruise yet, will be interesting to see if it works properly.
I used my oil filter setup.
Of course you will need a new tach, I am looking at buying a Dakota Digital setup.
I will still probably pick up a '05 Super Duty trans and transfer at some point.
Will need the fuel pump controller that is on the frame by the tank. I have not put in a drive by wire pump yet, not sure if it needs it or not. I had to rewire the fuel pump relay. Still may need the newer pump, but looks and works ok for now, Fuel trims seem fine.
Lots of wiring patience and reading of the diagrams.
Modify lower radiator hose and splice in the coolant reservoir.
