do you have an aftermarket cold air intake? what were the exact codes? what exactly is the truck doing? misfire cyl 1 and lean condition doesnt give us enough info. what is the build date of the truck? any vacuum leaks? how olds the fuel filter? maf ever been cleaned? did you reboot the domputer after the coil change? reboot the computer and see if the same codes come up.

*The truck is completly stock.
*Truck will run fine until WOT. Then spits, sputters and makes a popping noise kinda of like a small backfire. Dark smoke coming from tailpipe during WOT. If I let of and go at it again it usually does it for a couple more seconds then it will clear up and take off fine.
*Fuel filter is less than a year old.
By rebooting the computer I assume you mean disconnecting the negetive battery cable. If so, then yes I have.
*Not sure about the vacuum leaks. How would I go about finding out if I do?
*MAF has not been cleaned. I am going to do that when I get a chance.
*I don't remember the exact codes. I would have to have it scanned again.
*Codes will reset until another WOT pass, then they come back.

i would clean the maf first and soon you'll need to replace those plugs anyways, so you might as well do them too. black smoke is rich fuel mixture. just to make sure, the number 1 cylinder is the very front passenger side, so did you replace the right coil?
