Crankshaft bolt

Greetings everyone, Have a question. I have a 1998 ford F-150 2wd w/ a 4.2 motor and on the center crankshaft bolt on the bottom pulley, what direction does it rotate to loosen? For a very odd reason, I was driving down the road and all the bolts snapped off and the pulley went flying. Go figure. Any info is greatly appreciated...
